HR-Structures has constructed a 600m² insulated industrial temporary building at a location in Germany. The 20 x 30m industrial building is 6.3m tall to the eaves and can be used all year round thanks to its insulation.
Insulated Temporary Building
PU-filled sandwich panels were used for the building walls and roof to provide insulation. The wall elements were installed horizontally and the edge of the floor was sealed using a galvanised steel flashing with Kompriband. This produced an energy-efficient, weatherproof envelope suitable for production, storage and as workshops.
Temporary Building Strength
The supporting aluminium profile structure is assembled with steel connectors and is designed to withstand a wind load of 0.5kN/m² and a snow load of around 88kg/m².
Additional steel wire wind bracing and a purlin running from eave to eave provide additional rigidity to the structure. HR-Structures also supplied a structural analysis in accordance with DIN EN 1991 and the foundation analysis including formwork and reinforcement plans.
Temporary Building Features
Four polycarbonate skylights approximately 1m wide and 4m long bring daylight into the hall and reduce the need for artificial lighting during daylight hours. Vehicle access is via a roller shutter door installed by the client. Galvanised gutters with downpipes on both long sides drain rainwater from the roof.
One-Stop-Shop Supply and Installation
HR-Structures supplied the temporary building components and installed it on site. Together with the verifiable structural analysis and foundation planning, the customer received a comprehensively planned and structurally prepared building from a single supplier.
