Temporary Building Specifications
A client commissioned us to design and construct an insulated industrial building measuring 15 x 15m with a side height of 4.3m. They needed a durable building suitable for year-round industrial use that was designed as a turnkey solution, built and installed in accordance with building regulations and structurally tested.
The finished temporary building’s supporting structure consists of aluminium profiles with steel connectors and the building is secured to the floor slab provided by the client using anchor plates and dowels.
Wind bracing made of steel wire ropes and a purlin running from eave to eave provide additional stiffening for the structure which is designed to withstand a wind load of 0.5kN/m² and a snow load of around 85kg/m².
Insulation For The Temperature Controlled Temporary Building
PU-filled sandwich panels which are 100/140mm thick on the roof with 100mm thick walls provide the building insulation. The outer walls and roof are RAL 9006 white aluminium and the walls are installed vertically with concealed fixings. Using galvanised steel flashing with Kompriband to finish the floor created a well-insulated, airtight envelope that is equally suitable for use as a warehouse, production facility or workshop.
Full Service From HR-Structures
Frequent access is provided by an insulated, chain-driven roller door (approx. 3.5 x 3.5m) and a single-leaf multi-purpose door (approx. 1.0 x 2.0m), prepared for a profile cylinder lock to be fitted on site. A galvanised guttering system with downpipes on both long sides of the building drains rainwater off the roof and provides long-term protection for the structure.
We pride ourselves on full service from the initial planning stage right through to turnkey installation, and this project was no different. We designed, manufactured and installed the building after getting planning permission in accordance with HOAI (service phases 1–4). We also carried out the verifiable structural analysis in accordance with DIN EN 1991. Consequently, our customer received a fully planned temporary building that was ready for building approval and their use.
