With an existing building unsuitable for food storage but no other suitable location on site for a new storage building, a novel solution was required. So, this industrial warehouse was installed partially beneath the canopy of the existing building.
Measuring 15x35m with 6.3m high walls, the new warehouse has motion detector LED internal lighting, fast acting roller shutter speed door at the front, external gutters and 2 personnel doors. Inside, a full system of storage racking has been installed.
The building has temperature control for the perishable food stored within. This is provided by 40mm thick PU filled sandwich panel walls and a two-layer PVC roof that traps a layer of air for optimum insulation. The PVC is fire-retardant in accordance with DIN 4102/B1 and M2 and is translucent to let daylight into the building.
Built around our incredibly strong aluminium profile frames, steel connectors provide maximum stability. The building strength also ensures it is capable of supporting snow loads of 50kg/m² and the whole thing is securely anchored to the existing concrete yard using anchor plates and dowels or ground anchors.
