In the UK, HR Structures installed a 15 x 30m warehouse that's used to store construction materials.
The warehouse was installed using base plates and ground anchors on an existing tarmac yard. The wall bottoms are finished with steel edging to give a weatherproof seal. Rainwater draining off the roof is drained away from the building through galvanized gutters with down pipes on both long sides of the building.
Anodized aluminum frame profiles connected with steel joints provide the required support and building strength. This rigid structure is wind load tested up to 0.5 kN/m² and supports snow loads of 88 kg/m². Extra frame strength comes from steel cable bracing and support beams connecting the eaves.
The double skin roof traps air to provide insulation. It is made from air-filled sections of flame-resistant PVC (DIN 4102/B1, M2). The 4.3m high walls and gable ends are corrugated steel. The panels are mounted so that the corrugations are vertical and they are all finished in green (RAL 6005) .
Vehicles get in and out of the building through a 4.8 x 3.5m insulated electric roller shutter door.
Industrial buildings from HR Structures are are often used as workshops, for vehicle storage and in multiple sports, retail and entertainment applications. They are ideal for warehousing, production, materials handling and processing applications. Contact us today to find out more about these versatile structures.
