This 15m wide, 45m long warehouse stores replacement automobile windshields. It was erected on an existing uneven concrete yard for a UK specialist that repairs and replaces damaged automobile glass on any make or model.

The storage building has 5.3m high corrugated sheet steel walls and a double skin PVC insulated roof made of white, translucent, flame-retardant PVC (DIN 4102/B1, M2.  Single skin triangular gable ends made of translucent PVC match the roof design while the walls are light grey (RAL 9006).

Workers enter the warehouse through personnel doors that have emergency releases on the inside. Windshields are delivered and dispatched through two insulated electric roller shutter doors. Each 4.8 x 3.5m shutter has 3-way button controls and emergency manual operation.

The building's anodized aluminum frame is anchored to the existing concrete yard by anchor plates and dowels and the floor is finished with steel edging and Kompri tape to provide weatherproof sealing.

For extra support and building rigidity, steel wires and support beams run between the eaves. This contributes to the warehouse's capability to deal with wind loads up to 0.5kN/m² and snow loads of 88kg/m². Outside, rain is collected from the roof by galvanized rain gutters along both long sides of the building.

Where security and protection from the weather are important, our robust, aluminum-framed industrial buildings are easily adapted to a wide range of applications. They can be delivery to site by truck and assembled on site in just a few days.
